All the ritis and poojas conducted so far now change on “Makam” naal – in fact the nature of the festival itself changes Elephants used for carrying around the holy idols, ornamental musical instruments which were a part of the procession, - all are sent off. These will make their appearance only next year, at the "Bhandara ezhunallathu”.
